People Matter – A while back, someone asked me for an investment idea, he wanted to know how to make money. I recommended that he invest in people not a product. Relationships are so much more important than just about anything.

Economics, Marketing, Accounting - When it comes to a something I like to study, well, I like to study numbers. Economics is really the science behind policy analysis. And marketing is about knowing the customer. Accounting is the language of business. Combined, these three fields consume my entrepreneurial brain.

Politics isn’t Policy - Too often my enjoyment of policy/economics is confused with politics. For me, policy is about implementing the right law (or maybe not implementing any law) whereas politics is the art of getting the law passed.
