Customer Service and Tips From Uber and Lyft Rideshare Driver Perspective

Since driving with Uber, I've turned customer service into art.

Every passenger who hops into my ride brings their own world with them. Some are all about sharing their day, while others prefer a silent journey. And me? I'm here for it all.

I take pride in keeping my car spotless, assisting with luggage, and adjusting the temperature to the perfect "Goldilocks zone"—neither too hot nor too cold, but just right. Music, too, plays a key role in setting the vibe. I've curated various playlists, fine-tuning them to match the moment. Most riders are greeted with the smooth sounds of jazz but catch me spotting a group of ladies donning tiaras, and you bet it's bachelorette playlist time.

But let's talk tips. In the end, much of what we do revolves around that $5.05 per hour in tips. It's a modest sum, but every little bit adds up, fueling our drive to deliver top-notch service, one ride at a time.
